Immigrant communities and human rights activists are rallying in dozens of cities this weekend as part of the National Day of Action for Dignity and Respect. They are calling on Congress to pass an immigration reform bill that includes a roadmap to citizenship and human rights protections for millions of people living in the United States without papers.

Due process has long been a key tenant to protecting individuals' dignity in the U.S. justice system. Unfortunately, due process is frequently denied — particularly in the immigration system.

NIJC's newest infographic features the story of our client Rigoberto, and shows how the government's detention practices and current laws deny due process to thousands of immigrants swept up in the immigration enforcement system.
