On September 19, 2011, the nation's first 24-hour Deportation Family Support Hotline that connects thousands of Chicago-area families with legal and social service resources was launched. NIJC is a collaborator in the project, which is headed by the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights.
