Fellowships
The National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC) invites rising third-year law students and recent law graduates to join us as legal fellows for up to two years, beginning in the fall of 2025.
- NIJC is currently accepting applications for 2025-2027 Schreiber Fellowships. Read about the Schreiber program and apply here.
- While the deadline for most other fellowship programs (Equal Justice Works, the Skadden Foundation, Soros Fellowships) has passed, NIJC remains interested in and committed to considering applications for individuals with independent funding, for example from their law school. NIJC will consider those applications on a rolling basis. To apply, please send a resume, letter of interest, law school transcripts, and writing sample via the application form.
Internships
ALL INTERNSHIP CANDIDATES MUST BRING THEIR OWN FUNDING OR EARN CLASS CREDIT FOR OUR SUMMER INTERNSHIPS
Summer internship application deadline is March 15, 2025, though applications may be considered on a rolling basis.
Legal Internships
NIJC is now accepting applications for summer internship positions for both law school students and undergraduate students.
NIJC offers internships to law students and undergraduate students to work in a variety of its different legal services programs. The internships present an excellent opportunity to learn more about U.S. immigration law and policies, while making a difference in the lives of low-income and impoverished individuals who need legal representation. We offer legal internships in both Chicago and Indiana, so please click on the link relevant to your location.
