Please join NIJC on September 11th and 25th for a two-part training on Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS)! SIJS is an important form of immigration relief for children who have been abused, neglected or abandoned by a parent. Part 1 will provide an overview of SIJS, and take participants step-by-step through the process for obtaining an “SIJS  predicate order” from a probate or family court in Illinois. Part 2 will review the filing process with USCIS, including Form I-360, deferred action, and ultimately adjustment of status to obtain a green card. The webinar is open to attorneys and legal advocates; 1.5 hours of CLE credit will be provided for each part.
