If you speak two languages, does that mean you should serve as an interpreter? Immigration matters can be complex, do you know how to best prepare to facilitate communication about these issues?

If you are, or desire to be, a interpreter for a pro bono immigration matter join us virtually on April 18 from 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. CT to discuss tips to make our experience a success. This training is open to all volunteer interpreters and professional pro bono staff and will focus on NIJC pro bono matters. Later in the week we will provide a training for attorneys that work with volunteer interpreters. Alejandra Oliva, NIJC’s Community Engagement Manager, an interpreter and author, shares her expertise in navigating volunteer interpretation. Registration required.
