Justice is a series of small and large victories. As we wind down another calendar year we reflect on the strength, perseverance and heart required in the fight for human rights, especially for immigrants. We celebrate the many ways our community leverages our talents to successfully overcome obstacles. During this webinar, you will hear from a pro bono attorney team at Winston & Strawn LLP about how they strategically advocated and won asylum with a man who is one step closer to reuniting with his family. You’ll hear from a young person who recently received protection under Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS) after fighting his case with his team from the National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC) for seven years. And, as protecting human rights takes a village, Caitlin Tupper, Director of the Anti-Violence Project at the Center on Halsted, will share how our collaborative efforts support LGBTQ+ immigrants.
Keep families together, prevent a neighbor's deportation, and protect people seeking safety.
