As the National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC) provides legal services to immigrants from around the world, many of whom do not speak English, we depend on the vital skills of volunteer translators and interpreters to ensure people can communicate their stories throughout their cases.
This week during National Pro Bono Week, we celebrate the more than 2,000 volunteer attorneys, legal staff, and language professionals who tirelessly defend immigrants in partnership with the National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC).
As I reflect on all we accomplished this year, I’m so grateful for our supporters, legal volunteers, and the clients for whom we have the privilege of advocating.
