On September 27, the LGBTQ Immigrant Rights Coalition hosted a town hall forum to discuss issues affecting LGBT immigrants. NIJC is a member of the coalition and Keren Zwick, supervising attorney for NIJC's LGBT Immigrant Rights Initiative, was a panelist along with U.S. Reps. Luiz Gutierrez and Mike Quigley, and members of other Chicago immigrant rights advocacy organizations.
