U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) released new guidance on detaining transgender immigrants. NIJC and a coalition of immigrant and LGBT rights advocates welcomed these long-overdue developments but called on ICE to truly protect LGBTQ individuals by ending the policy to detain them.
