NIJC has a new Chicago address at 111 W. Jackson Blvd, Suite 800, Chicago, IL 60604 and a new email domain at @immigrantjustice.org.

This multi-part series examines the challenges LGBT immigrants face in the United States.

In part one, "LGBT immigrants still face hurdles," the reporter talks to NIJC's Keren Zwick and NIJC Leadership Board member Michael Jarecki.

Part two, "Immigrants tell their stories," describes the horrific experience a lesbian woman from Mexico and an NIJC client had in detention.

Parts three and four, "Inside ICE detention," tells the story of the Sisters of Mercy who provide pastoral care to detained immigrants and those about to be deported, and other advocates, including NIJC, who are trying to change the inhumane treatment of individuals in detention.
