On March 8, 2018, from 1:00 - 4:00 pm, NIJC will conduct a training for pro bono attorneys interested in representing asylum seekers – including immigrant children and detained immigrants – before the asylum office and the immigration court. Illinois CLE credit will be available, but space is limited! Please contact Anna Sears at firstname.lastname@example.org to RSVP or with any questions.
Please note that all attorneys who do not already have an NIJC asylum matter must commit to accepting a new asylum matter within three months of the training. To best benefit from the training, NIJC encourages attorneys to accept a new asylum matter prior to attending the training itself. Please click here to learn more about NIJC's pro bono opportunities and to determine whether an asylum case might be a good fit for you.
Attorneys who are unable to attend in-person can participate via webinar. Please click here to access the webinar registration. Please note that NIJC strongly encourages NIJC pro bono attorneys to attend a live version of the training, rather than the webinar. CLE credit is only available for in-person attendees.
