On this year’s International Human Rights Day, join National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC) staff from our detention and policy teams to learn about the impending end of immigration detention in Illinois and what legal advocates can do to fight for the release of immigrants detained in facilities that will soon close. The training will provide an introductory overview of release advocacy tools, including bond requests and administrative release requests, and a sign-up opportunity for pro bono attorneys in Illinois.  Presenters include: Dave Faherty, Ruben Loyo and Heidi Altman.
