Former ICE Contracts Officer Describes the Contracting Process

Former U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement contracting officer Jerald Neveleff testified in January 2014 during a deposition in the FOIA litigation case National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC) v. Department of Homeland Security.

In the case, NIJC sought to obtain contracts and inspection reports for the facilities ICE contracts with to detain immigrants, as well as a better understanding of how those contracts are negotiated, maintained, and monitored.

NIJC has redacted the deposition to remove personal information that is irrelevant to ICE contracting procedures.
