Join asylum experts from the National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC) as they share how to prepare and present a case for your asylum seeking clients before the immigration court. We will provide an intensive introduction to asylum law, best practices for working with asylum seekers and developing supporting evidence in order to prepare strong asylum claims. Free CLE is available.
The in-person training is generously hosted at Winston & Strawn LLP in Chicago. We strongly encourage in-person participation for an active Q&A, discussion, and to connect with colleagues. Free lunch will be provided. A virtual option will be available for those who cannot attend in person.
NIJC currently has more than 60 asylum seeking clients in need of pro bono representation. We ask that training participants take a case within 90 days of the training.
