Asylum Pride Pro Bono Training 2026

Join us on Thursday, June 4 from 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. CT for NIJC’s annual Asylum Pride Training. Access to counsel for asylum seekers matters now more than ever. Join NIJC for Pride Month this June to learn how to prepare an asylum case for a member of the LGBTQ+ community. NIJC staff will present on the basic legal requirements for asylum, tips for working with LGBTQ clients, and trends in asylum cases under the current administration. This training is intended for legal practitioners and is a great opportunity to learn strategies to best advocate for LGBTQ individuals.
