Tara leads NIJC’s communications strategy and content development and works with the news media to tell stories about the need for fair and humane immigration laws. She helped launch and co-authored the inaugural reports for NIJC’s Transparency Project and regularly contributes to messaging and narrative development about the need to defend due process, decriminalize migration, and dismantle the immigration detention system. Tara previously was the managing editor of Cultural Survival Quarterly.
