Megan studied history; Spanish; Latin American Studies; and Women, Gender, & Sexuality Studies at Augustana College, where she received the O.F. Ander Award for the Outstanding History Student and the Louis C. Belby Award for Outstanding Achievement in Spanish. Megan previously volunteered as an English as a Second Language teacher in the Quad Cities area and briefly served as an English as a Foreign Language teaching intern in Córdoba, Argentina.
