Previously, Mary worked with NIJC’s Immigrant Legal Defense Project as a Department of Justice accredited representative. Mary graduated with honors from Tulane University in 2007 with a bachelor of arts in Latin American studies and art history. Before coming to NIJC, Mary taught English as a Second Language at Poder Learning Center in Chicago. She has also studied and taught in Spain and worked as a citizenship volunteer.
