Juliana attended law school in Bogotá, Colombia, where she is originally from. She moved to the United States in 2021. Being an immigrant has helped her understand the complexity and challenges that come with the journey. Prior to joining NIJC, she was part of the removal defense team at Kempster, Corcoran, Quiceno & Lenz-Calvo, where she worked as a paralegal. She has also volunteered as an interpreter with NIJC, assisting asylees.
