Jannette holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in International Studies from Boston College, where she was a QuestBridge National College Match Scholar. During her undergraduate years, she interned at a private immigration law firm, New England Justice for Our Neighbors, an immigration nonprofit specializing in Special Immigrant Juvenile cases, and at the Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition, which promotes the rights and integration of immigrants and refugees through community resources and policy advocacy. As a Chicago native and the daughter of Mexican immigrants, she is passionate about expanding access to immigration legal services for her community.
