Byron received his juris doctor from the IU Robert H. McKinney School of Law. During law school he participated in the Immigration Law Clinic. Byron was awarded the Norman Lefstein Award of Excellence during law school for contributing 200+ hours of pro bono service throughout his law school career. Prior to joining NIJC, Byron practiced immigration law at a non-profit in Indianapolis. He is licensed to practice law in Indiana.
