Prior to NIJC, Aniela worked for over eight years supporting survivors of domestic violence. While employed as a community advocate for Chicago-based agency Sarah’s Inn, Aniela assisted migrant survivors across the southwest side with safety planning, counseling, case management, and with U-Visa, VAWA, and DCFS cases. Aniela also brings expertise in training, education, and program management, having supervised Sarah’s Inn’s Training and Education Department and later spearheading prevention programs at Wilbur Wright College. Aniela graduated from the University of Notre Dame with their bachelor’s in history and Spanish, in addition to double minors in Latinx and Gender Studies.
