The New York Times Magazine: The Shame of America’s Family Detention Camps

The family detention system in the United States is rapidly expanding and will soon have the capacity to jail more than 2,400 mothers and children, many of whom fled violence in Central America. The New York Times Magazine wrote about the legal service providers and advocates who struggle to serve all of the detained families to ensure they receive a fair trial.
