The U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) annouced it would investigate complaints of sexual violence against immigrants in detention. The announcement comes after a group of congressmen wrote a letter to the GAO calling for an investigation, in which it cited the civil rights complaints NIJC filed in 2011.
