After rigorous advocacy by multiple organizations and law firms across the country, Roberto Beristain was deported in the middle of the night. Roberto is a father, husband, and businessman from South Bend, Indiana. Roberto had two pending cases in immigration court but before either judge had a chance to rule and without notifying his attorneys, ICE rushed him from the detention center where he was being held to across the border to Mexico.
