NIJC has received the following update regarding hearings at the Chicago Immigration Court:
From May 28 through June 8, 2018, Kansas City Immigration Judge Justin Howard will be temporarily detailed to the Chicago Immigration Court. From June 18 through June 22, 2018, Atlanta Immigration Judge Scott Criss will be temporarily detailed to the Chicago Immigration Court. Both judges will be assisting with non-detained cases at the 525 W. Van Buren court location.
Beginning Monday, June 4 and continuing through the end of August, Immigration Judge Eva Saltzman will hear detained cases at the satellite court located at 536 S. Clark Street, replacing Immigration Judge Kathryn DeAngelis. The non-detained individual hearings on Judge Saltzman’s June docket will be heard by the visiting judges; her remaining hearings during the affected time period will be rescheduled and new hearing notices will be sent to both parties. Immigration Judge Kathryn DeAngelis will resume her non-detained docket at 525 W. Van Buren, and will also begin holding bond-only hearings on Fridays at 536 S. Clark Street, beginning June 15.
