On February 2, 2017, from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m., NIJC will provide a training for pro bono attorneys interested in representing asylum seekers – including immigrant children and detained immigrants – before the asylum office and the immigration court. Illinois CLE credit will be available, but space is limited!
Please contact Carolina Ramazzina Van Moorsel to RSVP or with any questions.
All pro bono attorneys representing NIJC asylum clients must attend an NIJC asylum training before or shortly after representation begins. Attorneys who have not yet accepted an NIJC asylum case and wish to attend the training must commit to accepting an asylum client for representation within six months of the training.
Register for this training's webinar here. Please note that in order to represent one of NIJC's clients you will need to attend a live session of the training. Attorneys attending the webinar will not be eligible to Illinois CLE credit.
