Please join NIJC, in partnership with Administer Justice and the Family Law Committee of the Kane County Bar Association, for a training on Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS). SIJS is a form of immigration relief for children who have suffered abuse, abandonment or neglect. In order to apply for this relief, a child must first obtain an order from a family court making special findings regarding this abuse, abandonment or neglect.
NIJC will provide step-by-step training for family law attorneys on how to obtain these orders and incorporate this important form of relief into their existing practice.
This event will take place in St. Charles, Illinois. CLE credit will be provided. Registration by email is required.
