USCIS has extended of the grace period for using the prior version of form G-28 until May 15, 2015.  Despite this extension, NIJC strongly recommends that pro bono attorneys begin to use the new form now. 

Beginning Monday, May 18, 2015, USCIS will not accept earlier versions of the G-28 form.  For more information about the new form, please see USCIS's website and NIJC's previous updates regarding the form.

Please note that G-28 appearance forms are only used when filing applications or appearing before DHS.  If your client’s case is before the immigration court, you must file form E-28.
